Cynthia M. (Gilmore) Sperrazza, age 61, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of Christopher Sperrazza, to whom she was wed for over forty years.

Born in Boston, MA she was a loving daughter of the late Jacqueline M. Gilmore and Nicholas S. Damata.

Cyndy grew up in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. After starting a family, she returned to school and graduated with an associate’s degree from Fisher College.

A resident of Mansfield for the past thirty years, Cyndy was employed as a paraprofessional at the Qualters Middle School in Mansfield for seventeen years. She worked hard to provide for her adoring family, who were truly the essence of her life and the happiness she received from her grandchildren was simply overwhelming. Cyndy was also a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted children: Jinneane Sperrazza Cattaneo of North Attleboro, John C. Sperrazza and his wife Allison of North Easton, Anthony M. Sperrazza and his wife Allison of Foxboro, Daniel J. Sperrazza and his wife Amanda of Dalton and the late Christopher S. Sperrazza. She was the cherished grandmother of Delaney, Josephine, Cecilia, Zachary, Annina, Antonia, Emerson, Jack, Harrison, Emily, Jameson and Mya. She was the dear sister of Jo Anne Moretti and her longtime companion Daniel Perreault of Florida and the late Howard Franklin Gilmore, Nicholas Damata and Mary Louise Damata. She is also survived by her loving aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, February 27th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 28th at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Private burial for her family will be held at a later date.

Following the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, a reception will be held at the Mansfield Lodge of Elks, 140 North Main Street in Mansfield.
