Frances R. (Piascik) Hurley, age 87, passed away peacefully on Jan. 15, at Baystate Medical Center. She was born on July 30, 1935 in Westfield, daughter of the late Stephen and Marion (Dziergon) Piascik. Frances worked in the cafeteria for Chicopee Schools for 6 years and as the head cook at Holyoke Geriatric for 14 years before she retired around 1996. She is predeceased by her husband George Hurley who passed away in 2007. She is survived by her son Theodore Banasik and his wife Patricia of Southwick; 2 daughters, Danuta Jacob and her husband Scott of FL and Christine Duprat and her husband Robert of South Hadley; 3 grandchildren, Julie Jacob, Jerrid Lamontagne and his wife Alissa and Jason Lamontagne; 3 great grandchildren, Haley, Vivian and Jerrid Jr; 1 great great granddaughter, Stella and a sister-in-law Dottie Piascik. She is predeceased by her siblings, Edward, Stephen and Maryann Piascik. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A private burial will take place at a later date.
