William M. Keating
1942 – 2022
Ludlow – William M. “Bill” Keating, age 80, passed away on Sept. 15, 2022 at the Life Care Center in Wilbraham. He was born on Feb. 14, 1942 in Springfield, a son of the late William C. Keating and Mary I. (Harrison) Keating. He graduated from Chicopee High School and attended Holyoke Community College. He served in the US Army from 1964-1966 and was a Vietnam Veteran. Bill was a credit manager of GFox in Holyoke for several years. He ended his career as an accountant for Paul Martin Rubber Company. He was a former St Patrick’s Parade Committee member where he won the Woods Award in 2008. He was also a member of the Tigers Club and Moose Club. He was a member of the former St Patrick’s Parish of Chicopee. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Sharon (Flynn) Keating of Ludlow; 3 sons, Billy and his wife Carrie of Wilbraham, Jimmy and his wife Michelle of Ludlow and Brian and his wife Jenn of Chicopee; 4 grandchildren, Gabby, Leah, Ashlyn and Ryan; his sister-in-law Linda Flynn and her husband Eddie Wojnar of Easthampton along with many cousins and friends who will miss him. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral will take place on Wed., Sept. 21, 2022 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the funeral home followed by an in house prayer service at 1:00. Burial will take place in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Chicopee.
