Leona A. (Wysocki) Shade, age 81, of Norton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 12, 2022 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene P. Shade.
Born in Norwood, MA on July 12, 1941, she was a loving daughter of the late Stanley and Phyllis (Mark) Wysocki.
Leona grew up in Norwood and was a graduate of Norwood High School. She had made her home in Norton for the past thirty-eight years and prior to retiring, had worked as a Clerk at the former Dunnington Drugstore in Norton.
A communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Norton, Leona loved spending time with her adoring family and the simple pleasures of relaxing at home. Her family will always remember her exceptional baking skills, most of all her delicious date squares.
She is survived by her devoted Children: Paul E. Shade and his wife Carol of Brockton, Richard M. Shade and his wife Caroline of Franklin, Kentucky, Glen A. Shade and his wife Penny of Norton, Cheryl L. Shade of Northborough and Steven J. Shade and his wife Victoria of Norton. She was the cherished grandmother of Ashley, Christopher, Matthew, Andrew, Brandon and Alexandrea. She was the dear sister of William Wysocki and his wife Judith of Norfolk, Paul Wysocki and his wife Julie of Virginia, Ronald Wysocki and his wife Peggy of Holliston, Thomas Wysocki and his wife Judith of Hyannis and the late Marilyn Ginn. She is also survived by her many loving great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, September 19th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 20th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, Norton. Burial will follow at the Norton Common Cemetery in Norton.
