Abruzzese, Lawrence J. of Hudson, NH formerly of Norwood, MA. Died August 12, 2022 after a courageous 14 year battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Jane (Spellman), his two wonderful children and their spouses, Lauren and her husband Christian Bolton of Methuen, MA and Dennis Abruzzese and his wife Kristen of North Reading. Also survived by his 4 grandchildren of whom he adored and was so proud - Allison, Anna, Andrew and Connor.
He is also survived by his brother, Msgr. John A. Abruzzese of Rome, Italy and his sister Nancy Desilets of Westford. In addition, he leaves several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St. West Roxbury on Monday, August 22, at 9am followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Name Church, West Roxbury at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Sunday, August 21, from 2-6pm. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
