John E. Pedro, 77, of Spring Hill, Fl passed away peacefully, on July 23, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Maria L. Sousa and Antonio Cabral Pedro of Sao Miguel, Azores.
Survivors include his longtime companion Beverly Moniz (Bristol, RI), his daughter Ratchel Pedro (Westport, Ma), his son Alan Cieto and wife Julie Cieto (California), his brother Manuel Pedro (Florida), his sister Natalie Pacheco and husband Edward Pacheco (California), many cousins, nephews, niece, grandchildren, and great grand-children.
He is the father of the late Khristine Pedro and Cory Pedro, both of Westport, Ma. and brother of the late Jose Pedro (Sao Miguel, Azores).
John worked many jobs serving the country and public. He was a Veteran of the US Army and Reserve Police Officer for Westport Police Department. He retired as a business representative for the AFCME Council 93 Union.
John was known for his strong love for life, a guitar always in hand and a strong cup of black coffee surrounded by his closest friends and amazing conversations. He will be remembered by his bright smile, and quick-witted nature he shared with his loved ones.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport, Ma on August 31, 2022 at 11 am. The family requests in lieu of flowers those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation to a charity of their choice in John’s name.
