Elaine A. (Ferreira) DeOliveira, 82, of New Bedford died July 30, 2022 at Life Care Center in Raynham.
Born and raised in New Bedford, daughter of the late Antone and Mary E. (Estrella) Ferreira, she lived in Berkley and Hawaii before returning to New Bedford.
She was formerly employed as a dispatcher at the Berkley Police Department and later worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
She enjoyed playing cards, mahjong and games.
Survivors include her 3 children, Deborah Santos and her husband David, John DeOliveira and David DeOliveira, all of Taunton; a brother, John Ferreira of Mattapoisett; a sister, Lebania Bala of Fairhaven; 6 grandchildren, Heather, John, Joshua, Breanna, Blake and Dakota; 7 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Braylon, Izabella, Paisley, Mila, Armani and McKenzie; and several nieces and nephews that were all special to her.
She was the sister of the late Frank, Lionel, Gus and Tony Ferreira, Rose Spencer and Alice Ferreira.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, August 4th at 10 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday August 3rd from 4-8 PM.
