Anthony J. Maynard, age 21, passed away as a result of injuries sustained in a single vehicle motorcycle crash on July 29, 2022. He was born on March 9, 2001 in Springfield. He is survived by his beloved parents Richard G. and Celia (Pereira) Maynard of Chicopee; his grandparents Glenn Maynard of Chicopee, Carol Gittles of Chicopee, Joaquim Pereira of Portugal and predeceased by his grandmother Maria Pereira. He also leaves 2 sisters, Samantha Maynard and her partner Tommy Wilson of Charleston, SC and Hannah Maynard and her partner Marcus Stevenson of Holyoke along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. Anthony was a graduate of Chicopee High School, Class of 2019. He then attended the Lincoln Technical Institute's Electrical Program in 2020. He worked as an electrical apprentice for Epos Systems in West Springfield. Anthony loved his car and had a passion of Subaru’s, dirt bikes, street bikes, gaming, camping, snowboarding, boating, deep sea fishing, going to the beach and being around his friends. A Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A private burial will take place at a later date.
