Jean Glemaud, age 95, peacefully passed away on July 25th surrounded by his loving children and grand-children. On June 24, 1927 he was born in Marcabee, Port-Salut, Haiti to the late Joseph and Amelie (Quince) Glemaud. He was pre-deceased by his spouse and soulmate of 69 years, Augusta Bonne-Annee Glemaud.
He was a very caring and loyal father of 12 and is survived by his 9 children: Anne Gertrude, Jeanne Alberthe, Rose Michelle, Rose Ketlie, Harold Jean, Jean Jacques, Marie Gertha, Paul Claudel, and Jean Carlo. He had 16 grandchildren: Jamesley “Jimmy”, Mark Kendy, Manouchecka, Simard “Larry”, Karl Stevens, Mark Jesson, Thierry, Geslyn “Liline”, Lisa, Farah, Derrick “Ricky”, Riccardi, Sapphira, Sara, Gilbert Marc “Gilou”, and Paola “Pao”. In addition to 18 great grandchildren: Dan, Noah, Kiali, Khalil, Khael, Simara, Kaylani, Lea, Jordyn, Alek, Priya, Ostin, Celine, Ayden, Kamil, Aleksander, Owin, and Olivia. He is also survived by his daughter and sons-in-law: Gesner Dasse, Louis Marcelin Daniel, Gold Smith Dorval, Gilbert Dabady, and Cassandre Pierre-Louis. Also, by his sister Lamercie Glemaud, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St Bernadette’s Church, Randolph Friday morning at 11:00am. Visiting hour will be held in the church 1 hour prior to the mass Friday morning from 10:00 am to 11:00am. Burial St Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph. As a prayerful man of God, Jean took time to teach each of his children to pray daily. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a man of many qualities and virtues: wise, strong, resilient, kind and gentle. Everything you will want from a good husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was an icon. Although he had many children, no one could tell which one was his favorite because his love was unconditional to all. May his soul rest in peace. | |||||
