Gregory F. Motta, 52, of Westport, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Frank P. Motta of Westport and the late Anne E. (Rimmer) Motta.
Mr. Motta was born in New Bedford and had been a lifelong resident of Westport. He was a 1987 graduate of New Bedford High School, earned his Bachelor's Degree from Bridgewater State University in 1992, went on to attain his Master's Degree from Emerson College in 1996 followed by a Graduate Certificate in graphic design from Clark University. He was currently working as a production artist for UPPAbaby. He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport. Mr. Motta was an avid runner, artist, surfer and cyclist. He was a truly accomplished musician and had played drums in various bands with his friends over the years. He was a nature lover who was known for making everyone laugh.
Survivors along with his father include his fiancée Icy K. Bradley and her children Hannah and Mathew of Middleborough; 2 brothers: Andrew J. Motta of Westport and Christopher C. Motta of CO; his sister: Sarah E. McLaughlin of Fall River; 2 nephews: Zachary S. Coleman and Christopher J. Coleman; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, August 4, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home from 5-8 P.M.
Interment will be private.
