Frank Silvia, Jr., 74, of Westport, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 peacefully at home with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Dianna K. "Dee" (Yoakum) Silvia.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Frank and Marianna (Pavao) Silvia, he was a lifelong resident of Westport. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served his country in the United States Navy. He was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. Mr. Silvia was a great neighbor who loved living on Watuppa Pond. He enjoyed sailing, woodworking, working in his yard and in his younger years riding his motorcycle.
Survivors include 3 children: Michael Silvia and his wife Kristina of New Mexico, Toni-Ann Nunes of Warwick and Kathie Silvia of Dartmouth; a brother: Mark Silvia of Somerset; a sister: Evelyn O'Hara of Westport; 8 grandchildren: Jared, Corey, Christopher, Samantha, Tyler, Riley, Shelby and Charlotte; and a great grandchild: Makenzie.
He was brother of the late Sandra Plechaty.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home at 12:00 P.M.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. prior to the service.
Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
