Patricia M. (Maes) Peloquin

CHICOPEE ~ Patricia M. “Pat” (Maes) Peloquin, 75, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, July 22, 2022. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on July 25, 1946, a beloved daughter of the late Emile A. and Lillian (LaPointe) Maes. She was raised in Holyoke, attended Mount Carmel Elementary School, and graduated from Precious Blood High School in 1964. She lived in the Willimansett section of Chicopee before moving to the Aldenville section of Chicopee in 1966 where she lived the remainder of her life. For the past few years, she wintered in Silver Springs, Florida. She was the longtime Financial Officer for the Jewish Family Services in Springfield. She was a member of the Pioneer Valley Chapter 8 Camping Association and a member of Compassionate Friends. She was a communicant of the former Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and was currently a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church, both in Chicopee. Pat couldn’t resist anything with a butterfly on it. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Norman R. “Rick” Peloquin III who was Called Home on June 17, 1984, and her beloved husband, Norman R. “Buddy” Peloquin, Jr. who was Called Home on November 9, 2019. They were married on September 11, 1965 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 54 years of happiness together. She leaves her loving sister and best friend with whom she lived, Margaret A. “Peggy” Clark of Chicopee; her three dear sisters in law, Kim Thompson and her husband, Marc, of Springfield, Michele Fasoli and her husband, Richard, of Southampton, and Jane Peloquin of Cleveland, GA; her three cherished nephews, David M. Clark of East Windsor, CT, and Rick G. Clark and his wife, Karen, and Brian K. Clark and his wife, Mary, all of Chicopee; her cherished niece, Trudi A. Adams and her husband, Chris, of Chicopee; and her many other special nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. She was also predeceased by her two dear brothers in law, Earl Clark and Nelson Peloquin; and her two dear sisters in law, Linda McKinnon and her husband, David, and Sandra Deyo. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), with a 10:30 a.m. Celebration of Life Service in the funeral home. Her burial will follow the service at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. before the Service. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
