Thomas E. Broderick, 81

Thomas E. Broderick age 81, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at the Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI on Sunday, July 17, 2022, following a battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Julianne (Gulski) Broderick, to whom he was wed for fifty-nine years.


Born in Boston, Ma on December 7th, 1940, he was the loving son of the late John and Marguerite (Cullen) Broderick.


Tom grew up and was educated in Roslindale and graduated from Roslindale High School in 1959. He proudly served in the Navy for four years.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted sons: Thomas Broderick and his wife Ann of Rehoboth and Florida, Chris Broderick of Mansfield and was predeceased by his cherished daughter Kimberly (Broderick) Ferrara of Mansfield. He was the loving grandfather of seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was the dear brother of Doreen Ryan of Staunton, Virginia and the late John Broderick and the late Leonard Broderick.


A resident of Mansfield for the past forty-nine years, Mr. Broderick was an Iron Worker, a Business Agent and a Fund’s Manager for Local 7 in Boston. He was an avid reader and loved to travel.

He adored his other home in Ossipee, NH, where he loved to golf, especially at the Indian Mound Golf Club in Center Ossipee and at the Glades Golf Club, while spending the winter months in Naples, Florida. He also attended many car shows in New Hampshire with his 1932 Ford High-Boy and enjoyed spending time with friends, and enjoying the beauty and tranquility of Lake Ossipee. Tom will be fondly missed, and remembered as a generous and loving father, grandfather, and friend.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of his life on Sunday, September 11th from 1:00-5:00 P.M. at the Boston Lodge of Elks, 248 Spring Street in West Roxbury.
