Maria Franca (Cieri) Berardi of Canton passed away July 12th. Born and raised in Catignano, Italy she came to the United States in 1969. She worked for Plymouth Rubber and Draper Mills in Canton for many years before retiring. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, dancing, and most especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Beloved wife of the late Alfredo Berardi. Mother of Mario Berardi and his wife Cindy of CA, Alfio Berardi of Avon, and Elia Marganella and her late husband Mario of Canton. Sister of Giacinto Cieri of Canada, Domenico Cieri of Italy, Mary Berardi of Jamaica Plain, and the late Donata, Antonio, Carlo, Antonietta, and Giovanni Cieri. Grandmother of Silvia Glowka and her husband Paul, Aldo Marganella, Mario Marganella, Maria Berardi, and Giovanna Berardi. Great grandmother of Gianna, Isabella and Mitchell Glowka. Visiting hours in the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Oscar Romero Parish (formerly St. John the Evangelist Church), Canton Monday morning at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
