Linda M. (Austin) Cole, age 77, a resident of the Village at Willow Crossings in Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 10, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert M. Cole, to whom she was wed for forty-eight years at the time of his death.
Born in Oxford, England on August 9, 1944, she was a loving daughter of the late George and Winifred (Coe) Austin.
Linda grew up and was educated in England. She later moved to Canada and North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Prior to making her home in Mansfield for the past four years, she had resided in Venice, Florida.
A dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, whom she loved dearly, Linda enjoyed nature, was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Family gatherings with good food was another favorite time for her and she will always be remembered for the special place she kept in her heart for animals.
She is survived by her devoted children: Phillippa J. Rackliffe and her husband Kevin of Cumberland, Rhode Island and Neil A. Cole and his wife Christianne of Easton. She was the cherished grandmother of Abigail Cole and Mason Cole.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, July 15th from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
A service in celebration of her life will be held during the visitation at 6:30 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
