INTERNICOLA, Nikki Marie of West Roxbury, 37, passed away on July 6, 2022 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center after a long illness. The daughter of the late Anthony and Diane (Swartz) Internicola, Nikki grew up in West Roxbury. She was a graduate of Regis College in Weston where she earned a Bachelors degree in English and Education. Before her illness, she served as a high school English teacher in Lawrence and as a cantor at St. Theresa's Church. She enjoyed taking road trips, relaxing by the ocean, cooking and theatre. She was compassionate, intuitive and loyal to her family. In addition to her mother, Nikki is survived by her aunt, Roberta Wasserman of West Roxbury, her uncle, Joseph Internicola and his wife, Maureen, of Spring Hill, FL, her aunt, Elaine Internicola of Winthrop, her godmother, Marie Colton, of Hopkinton and many dear cousins and friends. She will be deeply missed by her best friend and caregiver, Lincy A. Walsh. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Thursday, July 14th at 9am. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John Chrysostom Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm.
