LUDLOW – Cathie Thomas Berman, 62, of Ludlow and a longtime resident of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. She passed into Eternal Life at her home in Ludlow surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on February 2, 1960, a beloved daughter of the late Norman E. and Jane E. (Namnoum) Thomas. She was raised in Springfield, graduated from Classical High School in Springfield and had lived in Springfield for most of her life. She was employed as a Case Specialist for over 35 years at the Hampden County Probate Court. She will be fondly remembered by family and friends as the proud Founder and President of the "I Don't Give a Crap Club." Most of all, she loved spending time with her beloved family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, George L. Berman who was Called Home on October 25, 2016. She leaves her loving and devoted daughter, Tarra M. Devine and her husband, Dwain, of Ludlow; her two dear step children, Eric Berman and his wife, Colleen, of West Sayville, Long Island, NY and Jessica Price and her husband, Francisco, of Huntington Beach, CA; her four cherished grandchildren, Emily and Jackson Devine and Kayla and Brooke Berman; her four dear siblings, Norman A. Thomas and his partner, Cynthia Fisk, of West Springfield, Lesa A. Thomas, MD of Cabo Rojo, PR, David A. Thomas and his wife, Maria "Lee" Thomas, of Dartmouth and Mary Ann Thomas of Southwick; and her many cherished nephews and nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends.
