Mr. Domenic F. Calautti, age 85, A longtime resident of Woburn, formerly of Arlington and Medford, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 12, 2022, following a lengthy period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Rosemary (Riccobene) Calautti. Born in Arlington he was the son of the late Domenic and Rose (Tavanese) Calautti.

Domenic was raised and educated in Arlington and Medford, where he attended public schools. He proudly served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Methuen Council. Domenic owned and operated the D & R Sunoco Service Station in Arlington for more than thirty years prior to his retirement. A trusted and talented mechanic, Domenic could fix anything in need of repair and was always willing to lend a helping hand. In his leisure time he enjoyed traveling with his wife to Foxwoods Casino where he enjoyed playing cards and trying his luck at the penny slot machines.

However, Domenic's greatest joy was his family and nothing made him happier than to be surrounded by those he loved, especially his adored grandchildren. Domenic was fortunate enough to retire early and was always present in the lives of his grandchildren and was able to spend a lot of memorable times together. He truly relished in his role as a grandfather and always looked forward to being with his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. Domenic will fondly be remembered for his hard work ethic, his love for family, and his kindness and generosity he showed to everyone he encountered. He was a true "Gentleman".

In addition to his beloved wife, Rosemary, Domenic is survived by his children; Steven Calautti of CT, Paula DiChiara and her husband Stephen of Woburn, Nancy Sherburne and her husband David of Center Harbor, NH, Joan Harkin and her husband Michael of Chelmsford. He was the loving grandfather of Andrew and Glenn DiChiara, Samantha DiChiara and her fiancé Oren Eilam, Kristopher Sherburne and his wife Jordan, Danielle Sherburne and her husband Robert Levinson, Jamie Sherburne, Kasey and Matthew Harkin. He was the loving great grandfather of Logan and Domenic Levinson. Brother of the late Mary Pasquarello, Thomas and Joseph Calautti. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Thursday, June 16th, at 9 a.m. Followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home will be held on Wednesday, June 15th, from 4 to 8 p.m. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Domenic's memory to Bear Hill Health Care, c/o Sara Rao Activities Director, 11 North St. Stoneham, MA 02180 or the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
