Claudette Y. Bernier
Claudette Y. Bernier, 89, of Salem, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, June 4, 2022 following a long illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert V. Bernier with whom she shared 43 years of marriage. Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Rose A. (St. Pierre) Theriault.
Following her graduation from High School she began working for Cannon Electric while raising her family. She later worked for Sylvania at the Boston Street facility and retired from Sylvania with nearly 30 years with the company.
Claudette was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. While she enjoyed Bingo and going out to dinner with family and friends, she most of all enjoyed her home, cats and puttering around the house in comfort. She was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish of Salem and currently St. James Church of Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish in Salem.
She is survived by her daughter; Lucine A. Pike of Salem, Granddaughters, Melissa M. Halle of Salem, Lorene Soares of Dayton, NV, her sister Claire Russell of Salem her great- grandchildren, Anthony Halle, Jonah, Trinity and Chloe Algarin, Austin, Nicholas and Skylar Soares and great-great-granddaughter Nylar Soares
Relatives and friends are invited to her visiting hours on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
