Frances (Pepe) Buttaro passed away peacefully at the John F. Kennedy Medical Center of West Palm Beach, FL. She was 87. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Frances was the daughter of the late Vincenzo J. and Marie (Forte) Pepe. Her family settled in East Cambridge when she was nine. Once she married her beloved Vincent, they settled in Medford where they raised their family. Frances was devoted to her family. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her husband and children. She worked for many years as a clerk and secretary in the probation department of Cambridge Superior Court. She and her husband Vincent split their time during retirement, between Hull and Lake Worth, Florida. Frances enjoyed dancing, music, concerts and was a huge fan of Chicago. At a recent concert she had a back stage pass and got to meet the members of the iconic band. Kind, thoughtful, and loyal, Frances was a loving wife, mother grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by those who knew her.
The beloved wife of the late Vincent Buttaro who passed away in March of 2021, Frances was a devoted mother to Doreen Certusi of Medford, Toni Pucillo and her husband Joseph of Medford, Vincent Buttaro Jr and his partner Tiera of Hull, and Karen Buttaro of N. Reading. She was a loving grandmother to James Michael Certusi, Jacqueline Buttaro and her partner Jacob, and Robert Margosian. She also leaves her grand-dog Zoey. The dear sister of Jeanette Miele and her husband Anthony, Joseph Sprizza, Robert Pepe and the late Richard Pepe, she leaves her dear brother-in-law John Buttaro and his partner Rhonda MacGiver.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family on Thursday, June 16th from 4 – 8 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Friday morning, June 17th at 10 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford at 11 AM.
