CHICOPEE – We are horribly saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Alexandria Marie Houle at the young age of 34. Alex took her last mortal breath, surrounded by her loved ones on June 4, 2022. She will be forever loved and sorely missed. Alex was born on March 4, 1988, a day the world became a little brighter. Everyone who knows Alex are aware of how much of a free spirit she was. Alex may have had some struggles recently, but she always lived her life to the fullest. She was full of life and happiness. She worked very hard and loved to spend time with her friends and family who she would do anything for, especially her children, nieces, and nephews who all adored her. Her family is extremely grateful to know that she is finally at peace. She is survived by her father, Mark Houle and his wife, Jayne; her mother, Lisa Batchelor and her husband, John; her children, Marlene and Mason and their father, John Ritchie; her fiancé, Zachary Timmerman; her brother and sisters, Anthony Orszulak and his partner, Jennifer Williams, Nicole Houle and her partner, Leigha Schmidt, and Taylor Batchelor; her two nieces and three nephews, Amiyah, Anthony Jr., Thomas, Katara, and Wade; and her many aunts, uncles, numerous friends and extended family members. Her family will receive friends on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will conclude with a Celebration of Life Service at 5 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Mutt Rescue, Inc., 102 Grove Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
