Deborah K. (Finn) Cameron, age 71, of Norton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of Gary T. Cameron, Sr., to whom she was wed for forty-nine years.

Born in Quincy, MA on June 14, 1950, she was a loving daughter of the late Frederick J. and Kathleen (Taylor) Finn.

Debbie grew up in Weymouth. Her family later moved to Florida, where she was a graduate of Northeast High School in Fort Lauderdale and continued her education, graduating from the Broward Hospital Nursing School.

A resident of Norton for the past forty-four years, Debbie’s working career was spent as a Registered Nurse, and following a long career in healthcare, she retired as a Nursing Supervisor at the Life Care Center of Attleboro.

Debbie loved spending time amongst family and friends and especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Norton and along with her husband, was an active member and pillar of the Norton VFW Post 8049 and an ardent New England Patriots fan. Her hobbies included walking, tending to her vegetable gardens, annually attending the Fryeburg Fair in Maine and a “sweet tooth” for playing Keno, scratch tickets and trips to Foxwoods Casino.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted sons: Gary Thomas Cameron, Jr. of Norton and Norton Police Sergeant James M. Cameron and his wife Kristel of Norton. She was the cherished grandmother of James M. Cameron, Jr. and Harper J. Cameron. She was the dear sister of Francine M. Finn and her life partner Alex Hunter of San Diego, California, Gregory F. Finn of Delray Beach, Florida and the sister-in-law of Ruth Baird of Weymouth Landing and Barbara Burrows of North Carolina. She was the treasured aunt of Brenda Coronella and her husband Paul of Hingham, Diane Robbins and her husband Brad of South Weymouth, John Cameron and his wife Allie of Weymouth, Vicki Frye of Bourne, David Frye and his wife Christine of Bourne, Phillip Frye and his wife Liberty of Bourne, Terri Burrows of North Carolina, Ricky Burrows of North Carolina and Susan Burrows of North Carolina.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours in celebration of her life on Friday, June 10th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton VFW, 38 Summer Street in Norton. Burial will be held at a later date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

In lieu of flowers, Deborah’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Norton VFW Post 8049, P.O. Box 1107, Norton, MA 02766
