Diane M. (Leary) Cimino, age 82, of Raynham, formerly of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, followed by a short illness on Friday, June 3, 2022 at St Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. She was the beloved wife of Dominic Cimino, to whom she was wed for sixty years.

Born in Cambridge, MA on April 28, 1940, she was a loving daughter of the late Edward J. and Mary J. (Burns) Leary.

Diane grew up in Cambridge and West Roxbury, was a graduate of West Roxbury High and also attended business school. Prior to retiring, she had been employed as an Administrative Assistant at the former Baxter Healthcare Corporation in Mansfield.

Diane’s family was the focal point of her life and she will always be remembered for her kind, caring and charitable nature. A devout Catholic, she attended daily Mass for sixty years. She renewed her marriage vows two years ago at Saint Ann’s Church in Raynham and was a former longtime communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield.

A resident of Raynham for the past fourteen years, Diane was a member of the Raynham Senior Center, where she was active in the Knitting Club and focused on donating prayer shawls to many organizations and to people in need.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her devoted children: Dominic V. Cimino of Norton, Maria D. Cimino and her partner Robbyn Issner of Brookline, Joanne M. Cimino of Medway, Maryann R. Cimino of Gardner and Joseph A. Cimino and his wife Melinda of Marlborough. She was the cherished grandmother of Tanya, Michaela, Eli, Ezra, Talia, Emily and Anthony. She was the dear sister of Susan J. (Leary) Beaulieu and her husband Edward of Middleboro, Jeanne M. (Leary) Mickler of Florida, who was pre-deceased by her husband Paul Mickler, Edward T. Leary and his wife Cynthia of Attleboro, William J. Leary and his wife Brenda of Tennessee and John R. Leary of Taunton. She is also survived by her two special lifetime friends Jeanne Thomas and Linda Brown, as well as her loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, June 7th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 8th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.

In lieu of flowers, Diane’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
