New York – Leonard Allen Camillo, age 92, of New York and formerly of South Dartmouth, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 in Staten Island, New York.
Born in New Bedford, he was the beloved son of the late Antone and Alexandrina (Espinola) Camillo. He had worked as a sailor in the Merchant Marines and also had worked as a conductor for the railroad in New York.
He is survived by his son, Neil Camillo; his daughter, Debra Lynn Camillo Jensen; grandchildren, Dawn Marciano, Joseph Jensen, Neil Camillo Jr., Lenny Camillo and Jose Camillo; as well as his great-grandchildren, Delilah Camilla Marciano, Philip Marciano, Christopher Camillo and Christian Michael Jensen.
Leonard’s visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will take place in the funeral home on Thursday morning, beginning at 10:30 A.M. and followed with a service at 11:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John's Cemetery.
