Dolores J. (Bonsang) Morin, 78, of Peabody, passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was the loving wife of Richard F. Morin, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late George and Irene (LeBoeuf) Bonsang. As a young woman prior to her marriage, she worked for Duchess Shoe Company formerly of Salem. Following her marriage to Richard, the love of her life, she devoted herself to the care and raising of her young family. As the children were advancing in their schooling she began working as a nurse’s aid for the Beverly Nursing Home.
A resident of Salem for many years she and Richard moved to Peabody in 1997. She was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish of Salem and prior to her illness she attended St. Richard Church of Danvers and later St. Adelaide Church in Peabody, Dolores enjoyed their home and time spent with her family.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Linda M. Desrochers of Winchester, NH, a son, Richard F. Morin, Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Exeter, NH, and a brother, Roger Bonsang and wife Carol of Salisbury. She also leaves four grandchildren, Melissa Shaktman and daughter Nova, Jessica Morin, Alexandra Ziccardi and husband Josh and children Sienna & Jackson, Samantha LaPlante and husband Scott and son Landon, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Morin, son-in-law Robert Desrochers and her brothers, Arthur, Robert & Richard Bonsang.
