Davia E. Galt (Chalmers) of Sharon passed away peacefully at home January 8th. Born and raised in Quincy, she graduated from Quincy High School. She worked for Harvard University Office of Information and Technology for 25 years before retiring. Davia was also a certified Ballroom Dancer and worked for Arthur Murray Dance Studios in Dedham and Boston. She has lived in Sharon for 54 years and enjoyed spending time and playing tennis at the Sharon Community Center. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, knitting, jig saw puzzles, sewing and she loved cats.
Mother of Steven C. Galt of Plymouth and Robert C. Galt Jr. of Sharon. She was predeceased by her former husband Robert C. Galt and her brother Freddie Machado. Funeral services will be private. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org | |||||
