Obituary

Ethel M. (Goldrick) Chase, 97, of East Providence, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Hattie Ide Chaffee Home. She was the wife of the late Frank O. Chase, Jr.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late James F. and Ethel G. (Borden) Goldrick, she had lived in East Providence since 1950. Prior to retirement, she was a typesetter at Mercury Mail in East Providence. Mrs. Chase was a member of the Riverside Congregational Church where she also volunteered as a Sunday School teacher. She was a trustee of the East Providence Public Library. An avid reader, she also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by a son: Peter F. Chase and his wife Rebecca of Rochester, NH; a daughter: Diane E. Chase of Boston; 2 grandsons: Benjamin and his wife Stacy and Samuel and his wife Mary; a great granddaughter: Gemma, and several nieces and nephews.

She was mother of the late William P. Chase and sister of the late James Goldrick, William Goldrick, Everett Goldrick, Robert Goldrick, Edna Goldrick and Anne Porter.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Westport
