Melissa S. (Trieble) Blounts, age 45, of Norton, passed away unexpectedly, at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, after being stricken ill at home, on Sunday December 19, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Jeffrey J. Blounts, to whom she was wed on November 11, 2009.
Born in Norwood, MA on April 20, 1976, she was a loving daughter of Eileen (Garron) Trieble and her husband Stephen C. Trieble of Pittsburgh, PA and the late Ronald W. Shade.
Melissa grew up in Dedham and was a graduate of Blue Hills Regional Vocational Technical High School in Canton. She had made her home in Norton for the past seventeen years.
Melissa’s family was the focal point of her life. She was an outstanding mother who dedicated her life to her son. She had a special place in her heart for turtles, whom she would help and rescue, and was by far an avid and number one fan of the New England Patriots.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her devoted and loving son Declan T. Blounts of Norton. She was the dear sister of Clayton C. Trieble of Pittsburgh, PA and Konrad J. Trieble of Pittsburgh, PA. She was the beloved niece of Kevin Shade of Clarksville, TN. She was the dear daughter-in-law of Wayne and Wendy Blounts of Taunton and is also survived by her many loving cousins.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, December 31st from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
Services, along with burial will be held privately at the convenience of her family at a later date.
