John F. Sullivan, Jr., 66

John F. Sullivan, Jr., age 66, of Norton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Susan E. (Dallaire) Sullivan, to whom he was happily married for forty-six years.

Born in Norwood, MA on November 24, 1954, he was a loving son of the late John F., Sr. and Virginia T. (Jewkes) Sullivan.

John grew up in Easton and was a 1972 graduate of Oliver Ames High School. He continued his education, graduating in 1974 from Wentworth Institute.

A resident of Norton for the past forty-three years, Mr. Sullivan had worked as an Electrical Engineer at EYP Architecture & Engineering in Boston, prior to retiring.

John’s favorite times by far were those spent, and the memories created with his wife, children and grandchildren, especially in Dover, Vermont. He was a talented woodworker, an avid fisherman, enjoyed riding motorcycles and along with his wife Susan, enjoyed rides taken in their “little red convertible”. While spending time in Vermont, he was also a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wilmington, Vermont.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted children: David C. Sullivan and his wife Carolyn of Dover, Vermont, Sarah E. Sullivan and her husband Michael Butler of Littleton and Robert A. Sullivan of Norton. He was the cherished grandfather of Declan John Sullivan, Chloe Marie Sullivan and Bennett Doyle Butler. He was the dear brother of Virginia Groom of Rehoboth, Carol Briggs of Norton, Alice Switzer of Easton, Peter Sullivan of Brockton, Linda Grigas of Holden and the late James Sullivan. He was is also survived by his beloved Goddaughter Ashley Sullivan, as well as his loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, October 26th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.

His graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 27th at 10:00 A.M. at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 94 Canton Street, Easton.

In lieu of flowers, John’s family would prefer that donations in his memory be made Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
