J. Irene Blaise, age 82, of Brockton died October 9, 2021 at the Baypointe Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Brockton. Irene was born and raised in Borgne, Haiti a daughter of the late Diogene St. Dic and Lucy Celestin. She had lived in Brockton for the past 40 years and previously lived in Montreal, Canada.
Irene had worked in the healthcare industry for many years and retired as program coordinator for the South Shore Haitians United for Progress (SHUP).
Irene was an avid gardener, seamstress and singer who was happiest being with her family. She donated to various charities particularly those connected to homeless children. She will be remembered as a clever, witty, strong and beautiful woman. Irene was the dedicated mother of sons Jose and Patrick Gaspard, and daughters Michelle Gaspard and Carine Blaise-Tikonoff, Grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 9.

Visitation will be held at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday, October 15, from 4-8pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 16 at 10am. Masks and social distancing are to be observed in the funeral home.
