Joseph E. Fitzgerald, age 87 of Brockton, died Thursday September 30, 2021 at the Brockton Healthcare Center after a period of failing health. Joe was born and raised in Boston and had lived in Brockton for the last 50+ years.
A graduate of Suffolk School of Law, Joe worked in the City of Boston as a Parole Office Supervisor for many years. In his retirement, he worked as a Health Insurance Counselor and with the SHINE program assisting the elderly. He also had been an Adjunct Professor teaching law at Massasoit Community College.
Joe was an avid Red Sox fan and loved watching their games. He will be remembered as a very intelligent and independent man devoted to helping the elderly. Most importantly he cherished his granddaughter Ally.
Joe is survived by his sons Kevin Fitzgerald of South Easton and Michael A. Fitzgerald of Weymouth. He also leaves his cherished granddaughter Ally Fitzgerald.
