In Taunton, Gloria J. Cloonan, age 86, passed away peacefully in Morton Hospital while surrounded by her loving family on September 27, 2021. Gloria was the wife of the late Russell Cloonan. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Edward & Caroline (Dollinger) Collins.
Gloria had resided her entire life in Taunton. Gloria was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her time with family. She enjoyed her cats, watching horror movies, especially her favorites by Steven King, and was an avid reader.
Gloria is survived by her beloved children; Guy Cloonan and his wife Jean of Taunton, Scott Cloonan of Taunton and Dawn Cloonan-Smith and her husband Peter of Assonet, her grandchildren; Carrie Wells of Attleboro, Garrett and Braeden Smith of Assonet and two great grandchildren, her siblings; Rosemary Bergeron of Assonet, Doris White of Taunton and Corrine Sulham of Taunton.
Funeral services are private at the request of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe-Wade Home in Taunton. Donations in her memory may be made to the MSPCA-Angell at www.mspca.org
