Robert E. Watson Jr, age 72, passed away on Sept. 23, 2021 at Holyoke Medical Center. He was born on November 26 1948 in Amherst, MA, a son of the late Robert E. Watson Sr., and Claire (Paradise) Watson. Robert proudly served in the US Marine Corps. He later worked as a mechanic for CNS Wholesaler for many years before he retired. He enjoyed going to car shows and spending time with his family. Robert is survived by his loving wife Deborah (Quenneville) Watson of Chicopee; a step-son Adam Kochaniec of Chicopee, a step-daughter Jenny Reid of West Springfield; 2 brothers, Carl Watson of Franklin, NH and Jack Watson of Franklin, NH; 1 sister Elaine Wright and her husband John of Meredith, NH; 5 step grandchildren, Kyleigh, Michael, Sam, Amara, Aiyana; nephews, Daniel (Dee) Wright from CA, John (Andrea) Wright and their sons Benjamin and Joseph from PA along with his close friends Tom and Sara Clark of Shutesbury, MA, Fred Leigh of Belchertown and Richard and Deborah Blow of SC. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Oct. 1, 2021 from 5:30-7:30 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Doberman Rescue Unlimited, 52 Tenney Rd, Sandown, NH 03873. Burial will be private at a later date.
