Kathleen (Logue) Fennell, age 88, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 19, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul M. Fennell.

Born in Jamaica Plain, MA on April 1, 1933, she was a loving daughter of the late Edward and Catherine (Coyne) Logue.

Kathleen grew up in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston and was educated at Saint Thomas Aquinas School in Jamaica Plain.

A dedicated and adoring homemaker to her loving family, Mrs. Fennell was a former longtime employee at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston and when younger had worked for the New England Phone Company in Boston.

A resident of Mansfield for the past twenty-four years, Kathleen was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she delighted in attending their school and social activities and later in life when she became a proud great grandmother.

Kathleen’s hobbies included reading and being an avid and strong supporter of New England Sports. Proud of her Irish heritage, she had a special love for trips taken to Ireland and the lifetime of pet companions that lived with her throughout the years. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by her loving and devoted children: Michael Fennell and his wife Ann of South Easton, Marie Palardy and her husband Thomas of Mansfield, Kathleen Dolloff and her husband Fred of South Carolina, Ellen Hager and her husband Thomas of Roslindale, Karen McNulty and her husband Dan of Florida and Brian Fennell and his wife Fiona of Donegal, Ireland. She was the cherished grandmother of Kayla Dolloff, Ryan Palardy, Caleb Hager, Christine Hager, Brianna Palardy, Matthew Hager, Daire Fennell, Aibhe Fennell and the late Molly Dolloff, the mother of Kathleen’s great grandson Clayton Dolloff. She is also survived by 2 additional great grandchildren Avery Gonzalez and Alaia Gonzalez. She was the dear sister of Maureen Spognardi of Mansfield. She was predeceased by her siblings Ellen Tedesco, Edward Logue, Ann Marie Patterson and Margaret (Peggy) Reardon. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, September 22nd from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.

Her Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 23rd at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery in West Roxbury.
