SALEM, MA
Armand R. Pelletier, 89, passed away surrounded by his loved ones at home after a three-year struggle with cancer. Born and raised in Salem, he was the youngest son of Odias and Deliah Pelletier.
Armand spent his youth working in his brother Jean Paul’s grocery store before joining the United States Air Force, where he spent the first four years of his adulthood as an electrician. From 1952-1956, he served overseas in Germany during the Korean War and was commemorated for his service.
Upon returning home, Armand met and married the love of his life, Lorraine H. (Chouinard), to whom he was married to for more than 60 years. He spent the rest of his career as a forklift operator for Shetland and Sylvania until his retirement in 1996. The definition of a family man, Armand spent his remaining years caring for his grandchildren, tending to his garden, enjoying his electronics, and sharing his life with his wife.
In addition to his wife, Lorraine, Armand leaves his daughter, Andrea M. of Lynn, along with two granddaughters, Jillian Lee and Emma Rose of Lynn. He was also the father of the late Brian C. Pelletier of Salem.
Armand will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
His funeral services were private. Assisting his family was the Levesque Funeral Home of Salem. For guestbook and to send a message of support to his family, please visit www,LevesqueFunerals.com.
