Clarina M. "Clara" Ellis
Clarina M. “Clara” Ellis, 103, a lifelong resident of Salem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 with her daughter Claire and her son-in-law Leo, grandson Lee and his wife Eileen at her side.
Clara the devoted wife of the late John F. Ellis and was the daughter of the late Adelard and Clarina (Michaud) Pelletier. Clara was the youngest of seven siblings. She adored her four sisters; Flora Lavoie, Mabel Bick, Irene Dennis & Laura Ouellette and three brothers, Albert, Arthur and William Pelletier.
Clara was a graduate of St. Chretienne Academy and later worked for Sylvania. She married the love of her life Jack Ellis and was a devoted mother to her only daughter Claire. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a gracious hostess, a great cook and was meticulous about her home and appearance. Clara also enjoyed gardening, shopping and staying fit by walking and going to the gym. Her family will miss her dearly and never forget all the love she gave them.
Relatives and friends are invited to an hour of visitation on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. to be followed by her Mass of Christian Burial in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem. All guests must wear facial mask protection.
