Virginia P. (Darmofal) Desmarais, 96, of Dartmouth, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at home. She was the wife of the late Donat Desmarais.
Mrs. Desmarais was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Peter and Pauline (Smiegel) Darmofal. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a medical assistant. She will be remembered for being a very compassionate and giving person who was devoted to her family and her faith.
Survivors include her daughter: Diane M. Fascia and her husband Anthony of Providence, RI; and a granddaughter whom she help raise: Anja Stephanie Desmarais, along with Anja's son Owen and her mother Ruth Desmarais.
She was the mother of the late Louis S. Desmarais.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, September 2, 2021 at St. Mary's on Broadway, 538 Broadway, Providence, RI 02909 at 10:45 A.M.
Calling hours will be Thursday, at the Potter Funeral Home from 8:30 - 9:45 A.M., prior to the Mass.
Burial will be private.
Following the Mass everyone is cordially invited to visit with the family at White's of Westport, 66 State Rd., Westport, MA for a 1:00 P.M. luncheon.
