Patricia M. McCarthy, 82, of Norton MA, loving wife and mother, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, May 30, 2021.
Pat was born on January 28th, 1939 in Boston, MA and was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School. On September 3rd, 1960 she married the love of her life, Lawrence A. “Larry” McCarthy, and they raised a son, Lawrence P. McCarthy. She was a long time New England Telephone Co. employee, retiring in 1991 to care for her first grandson.
Pat had a passion for cooking, baking and reading but, most of all, she doted on her family, particularly her Grandchildren. When they were small, she walked them in their strollers all over town greeting everyone they met. As they got older, she hosted Sunday breakfast for them, and no special event went without notice and a party. She was a constant presence, from their very first steps, to going off and coming home from school, she was always there to support them.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Elizabeth Murphy. She is survived by her husband, Larry; her son, Larry; her daughter-in law, Felicia Noonan and her sister, Ann Affsa and brother, Francis Androski, along with the treasures of her life the grandkids; Cameron, Spencer, Madison and Jack. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
