William G. “Bill” Vieira, age 87 of Brockton passed away surrounded by his children, April 30, 2021. Bill worked for the Town of Canton DPW for many years before retiring to Raeford, NC. Billed loved the warmer weather and spent many hours tending to his beautiful gardens. Born to Joseph and Annie (Brennan) Vieira in Lowell, he was raised in Canton. Bill served in the Army during the Korean War, then returned to Canton to raise his family. Beloved husband of the late Sylvia Kennedy Vieira. Father to Marianne Schat Vet and her husband Eric, Kathleen Gillis and her husband David, Michael Vieira and his Rita, Maureen Vieira, Kristin Brown and her husband Bob and the late William G. Vieira, Jr. He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph and Raymond Vieira. Survived by his 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family is holding a graveside service on Monday, May 10th at 12:00 noon at Canton Corner Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. | |||||
