William G. O’ Hare, 85

William G. O’Hare, age 85, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Care One at Randolph.
Born in Taunton, MA on May 26, 1935, he was a loving son of the late Francis L. and Mary W. (Gaffney) O’Hare and the dear brother of the late Mary Fran O’Hare and Ellen O. Frank.
Bill grew up in town, was a 1953 graduate of Mansfield High School and a 1957 graduate of Boston College. Prior to retiring, he was employed for many years as an accountant for Alford Engineering in Winchester.
A lifelong communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Bill was also a member of the George C. Shields Council 420 Knights of Columbus in Mansfield.
Bill was a gentle person who loved his family dearly and took exceptional care of his aunts and uncles in their later years. He had a passion for trains and enjoyed collecting train memorabilia. He was also an avid sports fan who loved the Boston Bruins and was a longtime season ticket holder. Bill also enjoyed the peacefulness and beauty on his many walks at Borderland State Park in Easton.
He is survived by his devoted nephews: William G. Frank and his wife Kim of Tolland, CT and Richard E. Frank and his wife Lori of North Easton. He was the adoring great uncle of Emily Frank, Jillian Frank, Kelly Frank and Marisa Frank.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Thursday, April 29th at 9:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
Visiting hours are omitting and those wishing, may remember William with a donation in his memory made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
