Dorothy J. (Carvalho) Carriero, 85, of Westport, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Carriero, Sr.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Ferreira) Carvalho, she had lived in Westport for most of her live. She was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport. Mrs. Carriero enjoyed yard saleing, animals and taking care of her garden, but most of all she loved everyone, especially her family. She loved driving her golf cart with Emma following in her buggie.
Survivors include her 3 sons: Edward J. Carriero, Jr. and his partner Tammy Shurtlef of Westport, Jeffrey J. Carriero of Westport and James E. Carriero of Westport; a daughter: Judith A. Jennings of Westport; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, April 29, 2021 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Wednesday 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
