Marie A. (Maioli) Melchin age 91 of Canton passed away April 23rd. Born In Boston she was raised in Dorchester and graduated from Girls High School in Roxbury. After high school she worked as a bookkeeper for Key Stone Camera Company in Boston. Marie lived in Canton for 64 years and was a member of Canton Garden Club, a Volunteer for the Red Cross, a committee member and den mother for Boy Scout Troop #172 and a Camp Fire Girl Troop Leader. She was a care giver to her husband for many years before his passing. Beloved wife of the late Alfred F. Loving mother of Robert B. Melchin of Canton, Laurie E Stables and her husband John of Attleboro, and David B. Melchin and his partner Steven Wilkinson of Stoughton. Sister of the late Francis Maioli. Also survived by her granddaughter Maria Lindholm and her husband Heath of RI, her great grandson Bruce and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton on Tuesday from 3-5 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 10:30. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery.
