Lucille B. (Allain) Poirier, 74, of Salem, Passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. She was the devoted wife of the late Jean Claude Poirier, with whom she had shared 35 years of marriage.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Edgar J. and Blanche M.L. (Gagnon) Allain. As a young woman she first worked for Shetland Industries of Salem. Following her marriage, Lucille became a stay-at-home mom who devoted her time and energy to her young family. As the children advanced in their education she began working part time. She worked for several companies including, Tortilla Flat, Gourmet Fare and Dunkin Donuts all of Salem. Lucille retired in 2017 from the Paper Store in Vinnin Square.

Lucille was devoted, loving and generous with her family and her very large extended family. She was a deeply religious woman and lifelong member of Ste Anne Parish and very proud of her Canadian Heritage.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Lisa M. Malloy and her husband Gerald A. of Winchester, her son, Edgar C. Poirier and his wife Jessica A. of Peabody, seven grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Daniel and Andrew Malloy and Edgar, Jr., Gabrielle and Michelle Poirier. She also leaves her brother, Raymond Allain and his wife Ellen of Peru, ME, as well as her sisters-in-law Pierette Nadeau, Lucille & Therese Poirier and Carmen Malenfant, Jacqueline Demers and brother-in-law, Leo Paul Poirier all of Canada.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Diane LeBlanc and Irene Maillet.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visiting hours at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. All guests must wear protective face covering and maintain social distancing and avoid physical contact with family. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday the 17th at Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave. Salem at 11:00 AM.
