Graveside services for Steve W. Tanner, 63, will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 16, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Annex, Sycamore, GA. Mr. Tanner passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at Cypress Pond Personal Care Home.
He was the son of the late Carl Willard Tanner and Edna Cochran Tanner of Epworth, GA. Mr. Tanner was the owner and operator of Tanner Electric Co. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chula, GA. Mr. Tanner was an avid outdoorsman. He was raised in the North Georgia mountains and passed his love of hunting and fishing on to his children and grandchildren. His generous nature was evident in the many acts of kindness he showed to friends and neighbors. He treated everyone he met with respect and kindness. In addition to his mother, Edna Cochran Tanner, he is survived by his wife Jane Carter Tanner, Chula, GA; two sons, Jonathan (Alison) Tanner, Brooklet, GA; Michael (Bethany) Tanner, Sycamore, GA; one brother, Eddie (Lisa) Tanner, Cleveland, GA; one sister, Patty Collins, Gainesville, GA; mother-in-law, Myrtice Carter, Sycamore, GA and five grandchildren, Jacob Tanner, Elijah Tanner, and Anna Tanner of Brooklet, GA and Bryce Tanner and Tyler Tanner of Sycamore, GA. The family will receive family and friends, Thursday, April 15, 2021, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn, GA. | ||||
