Anna E. (Ramos) Gonsalves, age 83, of Norton passed away peacefully on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward S. Gonsalves, Sr., to whom she was wed for fifty years at the time of his death on September 15, 2009.

Born in Fall River, MA on July 23, 1937, she was a loving daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Concasion) Ramos.

Anna grew up and was educated in Fall River. She had made her home in Norton for the past fifty-three years, and prior to retiring had worked at least twenty years as a cashier at the Wheaton College Bookstore and was previously employed at the Brockton VA Hospital.

Mrs. Gonsalves was a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church in East Freetown, where she was involved in the church women’s group. She and her family formerly worshiped at the Winthrop Street Baptist Church in Taunton.

Anna’s family, whom she treasured dearly, were truly the essence of her life. She and her late husband loved spending time in Maine and on Cape Cod and following his death, she continued these trips and memories with her children. She loved laughing, coloring, maintaining a close relationship with her brothers and will always be remembered for the special place held dearly in her heart for her cats.

She is survived by her devoted children: Lisa M. Gonsalves, PhD and her married spouse Diane Pullen of Jamaica Plain, Kim M. Gonsalves-Leonard and her partner Jorge Medina of Stoughton and Edward S. Gonsalves, Jr. and his wife Donna of Norton. She was the cherished grandmother of Stephen A. Gonsalves of Norton and Jasmine C. Pullen and Jess M. Pullen, both of Jamaica Plain. She was the dear sister of John Ramos and his wife Gerry of Somerset, Armande Ramos and his wife Sue of Fall River, the late Gloria Mitchell and is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her graveside funeral service on Saturday, March 20th at 11:00 A.M. at the Timothy Plain Cemetery, 250 Plain St., Norton.

Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Anna with a donation in her memory made to the Calvary Pentecostal Church, 33 Braley Road, East Freetown, MA 02717
