John J. Robarge, age 81, of Norton, formerly of Wareham, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.

Born in Worcester, MA on September 22, 1939, he was a loving son of the late Emerson N. and Ellen F. (Cheetham) Robarge.

John grew up in Worcester and was a graduate of the Worcester Boys Trade School. During the Vietnam War, he honorably and lovingly served his country for four years as a member of the United States Air Force. He was discharged on April 29, 1969 with the rank of Sergeant and continued his red, white and blue pride as a member of the National Guard.

A resident of Norton for the past ten years, he previously made his home for many years in Wareham. Prior to retiring, Mr. Robarge had been employed as a carpenter for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Bourne.

John’s affiliations included being a member of the Marion VFW Post 2425 and the Wareham American Legion Post 226. John loved his family, valued his friendships and for fun, enjoyed trips to area casino’s, always remembering to leave when up.

He is survived by his dear sister: Sister Ellen Marie Robarge, a member of the Sisters of Mercy in Hartsdale, New York. He was pre-deceased by his brother Robert Rogarge.

Services and burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
