Maynord Lee Travelstead, 85, of Sycamore passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at his residence.

Maynord was born on December 30, 1935 in Point Pleasant, Missouri to the late Fred and Rosie Lee Pyles Travelstead. He retired from Golden Peanut Company where he worked for 23 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching "Gunsmoke" on TV.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Miller Travelstead of Sycamore; children, Gene (Karen) Travelstead, Debbie (Mike) Brantley of Ashburn, Sharon (Garry) Hunt of Sycamore and Becky (Billy) Pierce of Ashburn; step-children, Susan (Ricky) Wilkinson of Sylvester, Julie (Cliff) Hairston of Sycamore and David (Claire) Whiddon of Ashburn; brothers, Alfred Travelstead of Tiptonville, Tennessee and Michael (Alice) Travelstead of Trezevant, Tennessee; sisters, Geraldine Smith of Dickinson, Texas, Peggy Wilbanks of Crockett Mills, Tennessee, Linda Pugh of League City, Texas, Louise Johnson of Watervliet, Michigan and Sue King of Dyersburg, Tennessee; grandchildren, Allen Travelstead, Jamie Travelstead, Jessie Travelstead, Billy Caton, Bobby Caton, Candy Hunter, Zachary Earnest, Josh Pierce, Aaron Pierce and Nicole Wheeler; step-grandchildren, Zane Wilkinson, Collin Wilkinson, Charles Kress, Kyla Kress, Owen Whiddon, Martha Grace Whiddon, Savannah Hairston and Garrett Spears; great-grandchildren, Morgan Travelstead, Mason Travelstead, Cassidy Caton, Kelsey Caton, Kinley Caton, Karli Caton, Camden Caton, Rylie Hunter, Leo Wheeler and Phoenix Wheeler; great-great grandchild, Wyston Liam Peavy; father-in-law and mother-in-law, B. E. and Martha Miller of Ashburn.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Helen Travelstead.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. The service will also be live streaming. Social distancing rules will be strictly enforced and masks are mandatory. For those who wish to sign the family's guest register and pay their respects may do so Friday, January 29, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
