New Bedford – Kevin A. Bettencourt, age 60, of New Bedford, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Laurie K. (Laferriere) Bettencourt.
Kevin was born in New Bedford, MA to Richard Bettencourt and Rosalie (Porier) Bettencourt. He had worked as a rope splicer for Teufelberger. He and his wife enjoyed going to the movies together. He loved watching football, especially his favorite team, the Raiders. He loved his family and the time he spent with them. Kevin will be missed dearly by all.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Rosalie; his wife, Laurie; 2 children, Harley D. Bettencourt and Matthew A. Bettencourt; granddaughter, Delilah; grandson, Abel; brother, Richard Bettencourt, sister, Robin Bettencourt; nieces, Amanda, Jacqueline and Tiffany and nephews, Jack, Christopher, Nicholas and Ronnie. Kevin was the son of the late Richard Bettencourt.
Kevin’s visiting hours will be held on Tuesday evening, January 26, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. -7:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home with a service to take place during this time. Burial will be private.
All attendees are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering at all times, to social distance 6 feet and to please refrain from any close physical contact. Attendance in the funeral home will be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions and could result with a wait time outside of the funeral home.
