Robert M. Hampe, Jr. age 56, of Canton passed away suddenly January 12th. Born in Norwood, he was raised in Canton and graduated from Canton High School and Norwich University with a BS degree in Computer Science and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Robert worked as an IT Professional for Hit or Miss, Children’s Hospital in Boston and most recently for Synapse Technology in Stamford, CT. He enjoyed sports and played Canton Youth Hockey. Robert was an avid sailor and a member of Savin Hill Yacht Club in Dorchester, enjoyed cooking, photography, and walking especially at Castle Island. He also was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved taking trips on his bike up to Nova Scotia. and he was a world wide traveler all around Europe, (Germany Ireland Italy Poland) and Asia(China and India.) He also played Hockey and football at school. Robert was a kind and generous soul who was always willing to help others.
Beloved husband of Lisa Hampe (Lu). Devoted son of Elizabeth F. (English) Hampe of Canton and the late Robert M. Hampe, Sr. Brother of Heidi D. McCarthy and her husband Michael of Middleboro, Stephen M. Hampe and his wife Maureen of N. Easton, and John C. Hampe and his wife Melissa of Norton. Devoted uncle of Katlyn and Meghan Hampe, Sean, Scott, Andrew, Christina, Patrick, Matthew, Maria McCarthy and Mary and Aidan Hampe. Relatives and friends invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Gerard Majella Church, Canton Tuesday morning at 10. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery. | |||||
