John S. Hatch, 62

John S. Hatch, age 62, of Norton, passed away, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his adoring family, on Saturday, December 19, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Hebert) Hatch, to whom he was wed for thirty-eight years.

Born in Santa Monica, California on June 20, 1958, he was a loving son of the late John E. Hatch and Frances (Gilholm) Olaes.

John grew up in Attleboro and was a 1978 graduate of Attleboro High School. He had made his home in Norton for the past thirty-six years and prior to retiring, worked as the Head Custodian for North Attleboro Public Schools for fifteen years.

John’s greatest gift was his treasured family. They were truly the focal point of his life and while his children were growing up, he coached Pop Warner Football and Girls Softball. His family will never forget the memories created of the wonderful years camping in Westport and John’s talents that allowed him to fix just about anything. He was also an avid golfer, a lifelong Harley-Davidson enthusiast and a diehard New England Patriots fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted children: Kelly N. Hatch of Norton and Stoughton Firefighter Corey J. Hatch of Norton. He was the dear brother of Bonnie Cockrill of Florida and is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday, December 23rd at 12:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton. Burial will follow at the Oak Knoll Cemetery in Rehoboth.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday morning from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. prior to the services in the funeral home.
